Effective Jan. 1, 2017, NCATS will no longer supply compounds and NIH Clinical Collection sets through its Small Molecule Repository (SMR). NCATS is processing SMR orders placed prior to Dec. 31, 2016, and investigators should expect delivery by no later than Jan. 31, 2017. The SMR website will remain accessible through Jan. 31, 2017, and then permanently shut down. NCATS thanks all who supported the SMR over the years.

MLSMR uses aliquots of the
Working Store solution in DMSO to create microtiter
plates for delivery to the MLPCN. The screening
centers choose from a range of delivery options
including 96-, 384-, or 1536-well SBS plate
The current compound quota is 450 nanomoles per
screening center per year, not including material
for hit follow-up. MLSMR delivers the full
repository collection for standard screening to
each center up to twice per year.
MLSMR stores and handles all DMSO solutions of the
compounds under nitrogen atmosphere to prevent water
absorption. We've validated our process minimizes
water absorption and haven't observed compound
precipitation from the DMSO solutions.
